I used to donate regularly to the Sunday breakfast mission. That was until I found out that the money I was donating was going to politics and lobbying. I'm specifically speaking about them lobbying against the legalization of cannabis in Delaware. Regardless of anyone's stance on the issue they should NOT be taking monetary donations and using them for whatever be agenda they are trying to push. The money should be used specifically for people struggling to get back up on their feet.

Volunteers on Friday serving dinner to the homeless to see someone smile and say thank you just to get a plate of food it's worth a million bucks I encourage anyone if you have the time and you're able to read this please take the time to volunteer in your community

Volunteered over the holidays. This is a religious organization shelter. They feed the homeless, provide job skills, child care and etc. Nice people. Parking is limited. During the day, there are homeless people sitting their parking lot.

We had a good experience dropping off items for donation. The man who helped us was very nice and helpful.

tl;dr they aren't a non-profit. They funnel money out through lobbying. Be careful on where you donate your money.

This is a cult. The State Service Centers are sending homeless Women with children there who have no place to go. WITHOUT first telling these women that: 1. It's an 18 month program, where you CANNOT work, if these women cannot work how will they be able to become self sufficient and be able to leave the Sunday Breakfast Mission and provide independently for there children? They won't be able to, they will be stuck there being brainwashed with "religion" long after the 18 month like the majority of them are because it's called a "long term facility " IT'S A CULT! . 2. These women have to take their children to church two times, every single day. If they don't take their children to church they have to leave. 3. These women have to sign over whatever worldly possessions they had to the mission when they first arrive. 4. These women can not have a car on the premises. 5. These women can not have cellphones. Why? Because if they have cell phones they could possibly call family or friends or be able to think independently for themselves. They don't allow them to have cell phones to brainwash these women who are desperate to find a place to live with their children. 6. If these women leave the premises the " pastor" (cult leader) has to know exactly where they're going, what they're going for and when they will be back. Failure to do so will result in these women being homeless again with their children. 7. These women can not collect child support, or any government assistance that would allow them to gain independence. The state needs to be investigated for sending these women there KNOWING they are desperate to have a place for their children to stay! These women have Stockholm Syndrome. These women need to be questioned FAR away from the looking eyes of this "pastor" to see how much damage has been done to their sense of independence and Child Protective Services needs to investigate and interview every single child residing at this place. If any of these women are found to have Stockholm Syndrome, the Division of Social Services should be sued and held liable for referring these women to this place. Absolutely appalling.
