First time guests. In town for softball tournament.
Home-style American classic food. Although the flavors of the food could be kicked up a notch, the lower salt content (at least taste-wise) makes the food a healthier choice. I often find restaurant food oversalted, but I have actually picked up the salt shaker at Crossroads. The coconut cream pie is fabulous, not a fan of peanut butter pie. All in all, you probably can't go wrong here, nothing fancy but good food nicely prepared.
Large parking lot to accommodate many diners at the same time, but the rooms and lay out are broken up so that you don't feel like you're in such a big place.
Would highly recommend. Absolutely loved it!
Update: Just ate dinner here for the first time. Just as good as breakfast. Service is always nice and the servers are a joy and friendly.
The Crossroads restaurant is a typical classic american-style restaurant, like in the good old days. Serving breakfast through dinner. Spacious layout, with several rooms for seating in both tables and booths. Of course they have a for solo diners to sit up at. Quite a pastry case as well so save room for dessert.
The best food, very good quality at a excellent price. We will return. Thank you !!
One of my favorite restaurant. Staff is very friendly. Nice selection of breakfast items. And they offer scrapple and they make B.L.T. sandwiches.
I can't speak to the rest of the menu items, but our breakfast was well-prepared and good value. The bacon was crispy and the omelette was Fluffy. The coffee was not so great however that seems to be typical of most places like this.
Did not get dessert, but they l@@ked delicious!
The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. I had gone to the restroom while waiting for my breakfast to be served, and our server kindly kept my breakfast back in the kitchen staying warm, until I arrived back at the table.
I noticed that they seem to be having a large early morning AA meeting in one of the back rooms, so that's good to know too.
Good food, good service and pleasant atmosphere.
