A mixed bag. A lot of great ingredients for the multicultural cook. Store organization is somewhat haphazard, but appears to be improving. Produce when fresh is awesome and the best deal, but sometimes they leave priduce on the shelf too long. The butcher is great and will always work with you on custom cuts. Good fresh fish counter.
It's a big supermarket with a very wide variety of goods. They had produce I'd never seen for sale before, such as breadfruit and Muscatine grapes. They also have food categorized by country. For example, they have a section of Polish food.
Convenient grocery shopping. Quality is good but not the best meaning you can't pick up vegetables/fruits blindly.
It smelled in there, however, like food that was starting to spoil. The building itself seemed shabby, as if it hadn't been remodeled for forty years, and it was hard to find things because of the way they were organized. For example, I needed spices and found three different places where they were kept.
The price of fresh produce is reasonable and fair. Shopping environment is nice.
Great place if you are looking for hard to find items from around the world. Great fresh fish, huge fruits and vegetables. Not very big on items like shampoo, toothpaste etc. If you're from another country or have lived elsewhere and are looking for a taste of it but can't find a place that sells it. Go here!
