I was referred to performance physical therapy by my primary care physician after experiencing some mild to moderate sciatica. Things were going well until my back really flared up and literally sent me crawling into their Hockessin location. That is where I first met Sean T.
Very much enjoyed my therapy while I was there. Staff made me feel comfortable and the therapist was very good at his job. I would return here, if I ever had another problem.
When I found out he was the sole provider at the Concord Pike location, I was elated! Sean never treated my pain/ symptoms with a cookie cutter approach. I felt like each session was customized to how my body was feeling and reacting. He began each appointments with a recap of the previous visit and asked questions about what happened since. He listened to every detail (and I talk a lot ), he was completely engaged and used the information to make a plan or set new goals. Physical therapy never felt like a chore or something I had to get through. It was educational and I definitely walked away with tools that I will continue to use for the rest of my life. The staff at PPT was also amazing. Angela and Sean worked so hard to get my insurance company to extend the number of sessions that I needed. Every time I walked through the door, I felt like I was amongst people who truly cared about me. I can never thank Sean and the rest of the team for getting me through one of the toughest and scariest times of my life. If you are in need of physical therapy, do not hesitate to go to PPT, you won't regret it!
Thank you for all you’ve done!
I've had PT with Performance for several injuries, including most recently for some hip pain, and I've had therapy at both locations. I am always impressed by the care shown by the therapists and the assistants, and the effort made to coordinate care if you see more than one therapist due to scheduling issues. Most recently, I saw Amanda Vito, one of the newer therapists in the practice. Amanda is wonderful- very attentive and caring, and was helpful in even taking a quick look at a shoulder issue that cropped up while I was being treated for my hip. The willingness to be helpful and go that extra mile is what makes Performance the best physical therapy practice in the area.
Performance Physical Therapy has been such a great environment for my strengthening and recovery from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. All the staff that I've met there have been so helpful and friendly. I've gained back some strength in my shoulders and hands, that were effected by EDS. Angela and Sean have been my constant companions in the journey, and I look forward to every appointment.
My shoulder rehab was so much better then anticipated thanks to the fantastic care and personal seevice from everyone at PPT.
I highly recommend the care team at the Wilmington office!
Sean was the first provider who made me feel like there was light at the end of the tunnel. I was in excruciating pain and it was a very busy Saturday but somehow, I felt like I was the only patient there. He sat with me for what felt like hours, until we could figure out a position in that would provide me with some relief during those first few days, when the pain was most intense.
